Fringe Club Central | BREATHE IN NATURE

Description

《Breathe in Nature》 is a solo exhibition by contemporary artist Abi PY Lau (劉姵妡). A passionate artist, Abi began honing her skills in 2015 with a fashion photography course at Central Saint Martins (UAL) where she transforms her stunning travel photography into unique artworks. Her artwork has been showcased in vibrant cities such as New York, Paris, Shanghai, Beijing, London, Hong Kong, and Macao, reflecting her commitment to creativity and sustainability.

Presenting a selection of photographs captured over ten years of travel, Abi invites viewers to slow down and reconnect with the natural world—its quiet rhythms, fleeting light, and expansive silences. The works trace journeys across landscapes, coastlines, forests, and mountains, capturing moments where breath, observation, and environment meet. Rather than documenting destinations, the photographs meditate on atmosphere and presence: mist over water, wind-shaped terrain, and the stillness beneath movement. Together, they form a visual diary of curiosity and renewal, reflecting how travel can deepen our relationship with nature and with ourselves. Breathe in Nature offers an immersive pause amid daily life—an invitation to inhale the calm, beauty, and resilience of the living world. This exhibition celebrates ten years of seeing, wandering, and quietly paying attention.
