[ET Net News Agency, 22 October 2020] Meituan (03690) said the company will issue the
2025 Notes in the aggregate principal amount of US$750 million, which will mature on 28
October 2025 and the 2030 Notes in the aggregate principal amount of US$1.25 billion which
will mature on 28 October 2030.
The issue price for the 2025 Notes shall equal to 99.877% of aggregate principal amount
issued, plus accrued interest on such amount, if any, from 28 October 2020, to the issue
date. The issue price for the 2030 Notes shall equal to 99.863% of aggregate principal
amount issued, plus accrued interest on such amount, if any, from 28 October 2020, to the
issue date.
The 2025 Notes will bear interest at the rate of 2.125% per annum. The 2030 Notes will
bear interest at a rate of 3.05% per annum.
The net proceeds after deducting the underwriting commissions and certain estimated
offering expenses will be approximately US$1,987 million. The company intends to use the
net proceeds for general corporate purposes and refinancing. (RC)
