[ET Net News Agency, 9 June 2020] Jefferies Research cited its Macau gaming industry
sources noting that gross gaming revenue (GGR) for the first seven days of June was the
same as May (MOP57m/day).
VIP and Mass were lower by 93%-95% and 96%-98% with VIP win-rate at normal 3%. With only
a small number of players, given border and quarantine restrictions remain the same, GGR
could be volatile on low volume and win percentage and fluctuate weekly without providing
any fundamental indication, the research house noted.
Assuming that GGR remains at the same MOP57M/day for the rest of the month, June and 2Q
GGR would decline 92.8% and 94.2% to MOP1.7bn and MOP4.2bn. (KL)
