[ET Net News Agency, 9 December 2019] Anta Sports (02020) announced on Friday that the
company expects its net profit to grow no less than 45% if excluding the share of loss
from the Amer JV while net profit is expected to grow no less than 30% if factoring in the
loss from the JV.
While the acquisition-related costs are higher than expectations, Macquarie Research
believes these non-cash, non-operational items are not likely to impact the business
development of Amer going forward.
It added that key management also taking a stake in the JV is a vote of confidence
for the business going forward.
Macquarie maintained its "outperform" rating on Anta, with a target price of HK$82. It
believes the share price may be volatile in the next few days on the back of the
announcement. Macquarie will review its numbers after the investor day on 11 December
2019. (KL)
