{I-bank focus}Huatai starts HKEX (00388) at "buy" and HK$435

[ET Net News Agency, 21 October 2020] Huatai Research initiated coverage on Hong Kong
Exchanges and Clearing (HKEX) (00388) with a "buy" rating and a target price of HK$435.
The research house said HKEX is singularly positioned to benefit from the return of
overseas Chinese companies, the structural transition of China's economy, and growing
two-way fund flows.
Huatai believes HKEX and the HK market's comprehensive competitive advantages should
support market expansion and strengthen HKEX's status as a leading exchange globally. It
thinks HKEX's distinctive status and solid net profit growth outlook amid a
low-interest-rate environment should underpin its elevated stock valuation. (KL)
