billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$50.42 billion, or 19.06% of the market's
turnover. There were 830 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and CSOP HS TECH
(03033) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$8.29 billion and HK$5.37
billion, or 16.44% and 10.66% of the total short sales value respectively. The
transactions represented 39.83% and 48.02% of respective stock's turnover.
HSCEI ETF (02828) and TENCENT (00700) registered HK$3.24 billion and HK$2.42 billion of
short sales, accounting for 6.43% and 4.8% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 30.59% and 17.91% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed up HK$0.4, or 1.56%, to HK$26.12. CSOP HS TECH ended up HK$0.128, or
2.63%, to HK$4.998. HSCEI ETF rose HK$1.56, or 1.76% to HK$90.26. TENCENT jumped HK$11, or
2.01%, to HK$558.5.
