HK$69.65 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$7.4 billion, or 10.63% of the
market's turnover. There were 627 short-selling stocks. CSOP HS TECH (03033) and TRACKER
FUND (02800) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$833.78 million and
HK$587.14 million, or 11.27% and 7.93% of the total short sales value respectively. The
transactions represented 40.46% and 15.89% of respective stock's turnover.
XIAOMI-W (01810) and SMIC (00981) registered HK$454.68 million and HK$431.95 million of
short sales, accounting for 6.14% and 5.84% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 13.71% and 8.56% of respective stock's turnover.
CSOP HS TECH closed down HK$0.04, or 0.9%, to HK$4.414. TRACKER FUND ended down HK$0.1,
or 0.49%, to HK$20.12. XIAOMI-W rose HK$0.35, or 1.02% to HK$34.5. SMIC jumped HK$1.85, or
6.04%, to HK$32.5.
