HK$107.54 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$15.28 billion, or 14.2% of the
market's turnover. There were 679 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and TENCENT
(00700) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$1.82 billion and HK$731.06
million, or 11.92% and 4.79% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 36.14% and 12.07% of respective stock's turnover.
MEITUAN-W (03690) and XIAOMI-W (01810) registered HK$598.62 million and HK$562.32
million of short sales, accounting for 3.92% and 3.68% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 20.03% and 21.16% of respective stock's
turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed up HK$0.14, or 0.7%, to HK$20.04. TENCENT ended up HK$3.4, or 0.84%,
to HK$406. MEITUAN-W rose HK$1.5, or 0.95% to HK$160.1. XIAOMI-W jumped HK$0.85, or 2.84%,
to HK$30.8.
