[ET Net News Agency, 17 December 2024] Full-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was
HK$131.99 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$20.73 billion, or 15.71% of the
market's turnover. There were 688 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and CSOP HS
TECH (03033) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$2.2 billion and HK$1.96
billion, or 10.61% and 9.43% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 24.11% and 34.93% of respective stock's turnover.
BABA-W (09988) and MEITUAN-W (03690) registered HK$905.68 million and HK$802.79 million
of short sales, accounting for 4.37% and 3.87% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 20.68% and 14.92% of respective stock's
turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed down HK$0.03, or 0.15%, to HK$19.9. CSOP HS TECH ended down
HK$0.022, or 0.51%, to HK$4.312. BABA-W fell HK$0.95, or 1.13% to HK$83.4. MEITUAN-W
declined by HK$1, or 0.63%, to HK$158.6.
