[ET Net News Agency, 17 December 2024] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was
HK$66.8 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$9.73 billion, or 14.57% of the
market's turnover. There were 639 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and CSOP HS
TECH (03033) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$843.29 million and
HK$705.09 million, or 8.67% and 7.25% of the total short sales value respectively. The
transactions represented 17.31% and 33.29% of respective stock's turnover.
TENCENT (00700) and XIAOMI-W (01810) registered HK$500.13 million and HK$460.76 million
of short sales, accounting for 5.14% and 4.73% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 16.98% and 19.3% of respective stock's
turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed down HK$0.07, or 0.35%, to HK$19.86. CSOP HS TECH ended down
HK$0.024, or 0.55%, to HK$4.31. TENCENT fell HK$1.4, or 0.35% to HK$404.2. XIAOMI-W
declined by HK$0.35, or 1.15%, to HK$30.
