HK$158.48 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$25.27 billion, or 15.95% of the
market's turnover. There were 679 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and HSCEI ETF
(02828) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$4.54 billion and HK$2.54
billion, or 17.97% and 10.06% of the total short sales value respectively. The
transactions represented 40.96% and 38.57% of respective stock's turnover.
CSOP HS TECH (03033) and TENCENT (00700) registered HK$1.06 billion and HK$939.74
million of short sales, accounting for 4.21% and 3.72% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 27.48% and 14.03% of respective stock's
turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed down HK$0.46, or 2.24%, to HK$20.08. HSCEI ETF ended down HK$1.84,
or 2.46%, to HK$73.1. CSOP HS TECH fell HK$0.138, or 3.06% to HK$4.378. TENCENT declined
by HK$5.8, or 1.4%, to HK$409.8.
