HK$157.98 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$27.77 billion, or 17.58% of the
market's turnover. There were 679 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and XIAOMI-W
(01810) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$1.76 billion and HK$1.49
billion, or 6.34% and 5.38% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 35.33% and 20.18% of respective stock's turnover.
TENCENT (00700) and HSCEI ETF (02828) registered HK$1.22 billion and HK$1.21 billion of
short sales, accounting for 4.38% and 4.36% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 17.73% and 45.26% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed down HK$0.38, or 1.93%, to HK$19.34. XIAOMI-W ended up HK$0.4, or
1.42%, to HK$28.55. TENCENT fell HK$7, or 1.72% to HK$400.6. HSCEI ETF declined by
HK$1.54, or 2.15%, to HK$70.12.
