[ET Net News Agency, 19 November 2024] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was
HK$63.34 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$9.07 billion, or 14.31% of the
market's turnover. There were 625 short-selling stocks. CSOP HS TECH (03033) and XIAOMI-W
(01810) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$980.25 million and HK$764.87
million, or 10.81% and 8.44% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 40.21% and 24.3% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND (02800) and TENCENT (00700) registered HK$404.7 million and HK$375.4
million of short sales, accounting for 4.46% and 4.14% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 14.03% and 13.47% of respective stock's
turnover.
CSOP HS TECH closed up HK$0.03, or 0.7%, to HK$4.296. XIAOMI-W ended down HK$0.9, or
3.13%, to HK$27.9. TRACKER FUND rose HK$0.07, or 0.36% to HK$19.78. TENCENT jumped HK$2.2,
or 0.54%, to HK$406.4.
