HK$173.26 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$28.21 billion, or 16.28% of the
market's turnover. There were 685 short-selling stocks. TENCENT (00700) and TRACKER FUND
(02800) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$2.13 billion and HK$1.92
billion, or 7.57% and 6.8% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 15.02% and 18.3% of respective stock's turnover.
HSCEI ETF (02828) and MEITUAN-W (03690) registered HK$1.74 billion and HK$1.4 billion of
short sales, accounting for 6.17% and 4.95% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 24.89% and 24.44% of respective stock's turnover.
TENCENT closed down HK$0.4, or 0.1%, to HK$403.4. TRACKER FUND ended down HK$0.39, or
1.96%, to HK$19.55. HSCEI ETF fell HK$1.58, or 2.18% to HK$70.96. MEITUAN-W declined by
HK$6.1, or 3.48%, to HK$169.3.
