HK$234.22 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$37.21 billion, or 15.89% of the
market's turnover. There were 691 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and MEITUAN-W
(03690) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$7.6 billion and HK$2 billion,
or 20.43% and 5.37% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 29.1% and 18.67% of respective stock's turnover.
XIAOMI-W (01810) and TENCENT (00700) registered HK$1.47 billion and HK$1.38 billion of
short sales, accounting for 3.94% and 3.7% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 27.59% and 12.41% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed down HK$0.59, or 2.87%, to HK$19.97. MEITUAN-W ended down HK$9.9, or
5.33%, to HK$175.7. XIAOMI-W fell HK$0.85, or 2.9% to HK$28.45. TENCENT declined by
HK$9.4, or 2.27%, to HK$403.8.
