HK$102.33 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$12.26 billion, or 11.98% of the
market's turnover. There were 652 short-selling stocks. MEITUAN-W (03690) and TRACKER FUND
(02800) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$948.87 million and HK$706.89
million, or 7.74% and 5.77% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 19.29% and 7.99% of respective stock's turnover.
XIAOMI-W (01810) and BABA-W (09988) registered HK$634.7 million and HK$580.36 million of
short sales, accounting for 5.18% and 4.74% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 26.49% and 19.91% of respective stock's turnover.
MEITUAN-W closed down HK$9.7, or 5.23%, to HK$175.9. TRACKER FUND ended down HK$0.36, or
1.75%, to HK$20.2. XIAOMI-W fell HK$0.7, or 2.39% to HK$28.6. BABA-W declined by HK$2.35,
or 2.5%, to HK$91.75.
