HK$204.34 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$30.78 billion, or 15.06% of the
market's turnover. There were 686 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and HSCEI ETF
(02828) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$2.51 billion and HK$2.16
billion, or 8.15% and 7% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 15.96% and 21.95% of respective stock's turnover.
BABA-W (09988) and XIAOMI-W (01810) registered HK$1.89 billion and HK$1.81 billion of
short sales, accounting for 6.13% and 5.87% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 19.59% and 23.81% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed down HK$0.26, or 1.25%, to HK$20.56. HSCEI ETF ended down HK$1.22,
or 1.6%, to HK$74.86. BABA-W rose HK$0.1, or 0.11% to HK$94.1. XIAOMI-W jumped HK$1, or
3.53%, to HK$29.3.
