HK$325.33 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$39.88 billion, or 12.26% of the
market's turnover. There were 683 short-selling stocks. CSOP HS TECH (03033) and TRACKER
FUND (02800) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$2.99 billion and HK$2.9
billion, or 7.5% and 7.28% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 33.7% and 7.96% of respective stock's turnover.
BABA-W (09988) and SMIC (00981) registered HK$1.82 billion and HK$1.39 billion of short
sales, accounting for 4.56% and 3.48% of the total short sales values respectively. The
transactions represented 16.34% and 14.84% of respective stock's turnover.
CSOP HS TECH closed up HK$0.12, or 2.64%, to HK$4.66. TRACKER FUND ended up HK$0.64, or
3%, to HK$21.96. BABA-W rose HK$2.9, or 2.82% to HK$105.8. SMIC declined by HK$1.7, or
6.25%, to HK$25.5.
