HK$427.01 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$48.05 billion, or 11.25% of the
market's turnover. There were 702 short-selling stocks. XL2CSOPHSTECH (07226) and TRACKER
FUND (02800) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$3.29 billion and HK$2.86
billion, or 6.84% and 5.95% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 46.3% and 11.22% of respective stock's turnover.
BABA-W (09988) and HSCEI ETF (02828) registered HK$2.54 billion and HK$2.48 billion of
short sales, accounting for 5.28% and 5.16% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 13.74% and 31.59% of respective stock's turnover.
XL2CSOPHSTECH closed down HK$0.146, or 2.98%, to HK$4.754. TRACKER FUND ended down
HK$0.32, or 1.48%, to HK$21.32. BABA-W fell HK$1.6, or 1.53% to HK$102.9. HSCEI ETF
declined by HK$0.96, or 1.26%, to HK$75.02.
