HK$241.81 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$26.46 billion, or 10.94% of the
market's turnover. There were 678 short-selling stocks. XL2CSOPHSTECH (07226) and BABA-W
(09988) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$1.83 billion and HK$1.66
billion, or 6.91% and 6.26% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 42.9% and 16.21% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND (02800) and HSCEI ETF (02828) registered HK$1.51 billion and HK$1.35
billion of short sales, accounting for 5.71% and 5.09% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 21.04% and 32.06% of respective stock's
turnover.
XL2CSOPHSTECH closed down HK$0.1, or 2.04%, to HK$4.8. BABA-W ended down HK$2, or 1.91%,
to HK$102.5. TRACKER FUND fell HK$0.28, or 1.29% to HK$21.36. HSCEI ETF declined by
HK$0.72, or 0.95%, to HK$75.26.
