[ET Net News Agency, 8 October 2024] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was
HK$384.77 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$44.62 billion, or 11.6% of the
market's turnover. There were 674 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and
XL2CSOPHSTECH (07226) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$7.95 billion and
HK$3.02 billion, or 17.83% and 6.76% of the total short sales value respectively. The
transactions represented 38.68% and 58.79% of respective stock's turnover.
CSOP HS TECH (03033) and HSCEI ETF (02828) registered HK$2.6 billion and HK$2.32 billion
of short sales, accounting for 5.83% and 5.21% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 33.01% and 19.84% of respective stock's
turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed down HK$1.28, or 5.38%, to HK$22.52. XL2CSOPHSTECH ended down
HK$1.1, or 16.45%, to HK$5.585. CSOP HS TECH fell HK$0.434, or 8.17% to HK$4.876. HSCEI
ETF declined by HK$5.58, or 6.55%, to HK$79.64.
