HK$256.55 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$30.02 billion, or 11.7% of the
market's turnover. There were 672 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and BABA-W
(09988) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$5.65 billion and HK$2.25
billion, or 18.81% and 7.5% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 32.41% and 15.27% of respective stock's turnover.
CSOP HS TECH (03033) and PING AN (02318) registered HK$1.63 billion and HK$993.01
million of short sales, accounting for 5.45% and 3.31% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 36.38% and 14.59% of respective stock's
turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed up HK$0.74, or 3.47%, to HK$22.08. BABA-W ended up HK$10.1, or
9.85%, to HK$112.6. CSOP HS TECH rose HK$0.298, or 6.79% to HK$4.69. PING AN jumped
HK$3.95, or 8.13%, to HK$52.55.
