HK$302.87 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$52.01 billion, or 17.17% of the
market's turnover. There were 674 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and BABA-W
(09988) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$8.98 billion and HK$4.19
billion, or 17.26% and 8.05% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 46.19% and 21.33% of respective stock's turnover.
TENCENT (00700) and CSOP HS TECH (03033) registered HK$2.94 billion and HK$2.82 billion
of short sales, accounting for 5.65% and 5.43% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 13.88% and 56.96% of respective stock's
turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed up HK$0.82, or 4.13%, to HK$20.66. BABA-W ended up HK$6.45, or
7.06%, to HK$97.75. TENCENT rose HK$24.6, or 6.07% to HK$430. CSOP HS TECH jumped
HK$0.268, or 6.94%, to HK$4.132.
