HK$242.4 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$48.21 billion, or 19.89% of the
market's turnover. There were 687 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and HSCEI ETF
(02828) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$12.5 billion and HK$7.54
billion, or 25.92% and 15.65% of the total short sales value respectively. The
transactions represented 46.43% and 77.4% of respective stock's turnover.
CSOP HS TECH (03033) and BABA-W (09988) registered HK$2.95 billion and HK$2.54 billion
of short sales, accounting for 6.12% and 5.27% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 56.48% and 19.79% of respective stock's
turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed up HK$0.79, or 4.17%, to HK$19.74. HSCEI ETF ended up HK$3.22, or
4.93%, to HK$68.54. CSOP HS TECH rose HK$0.212, or 5.83% to HK$3.848. BABA-W jumped
HK$5.25, or 6.05%, to HK$92.
