HK$26.36 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$4.05 billion, or 15.35% of the
market's turnover. There were 582 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and MEITUAN-W
(03690) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$676.04 million and HK$318.15
million, or 16.71% and 7.86% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 44.99% and 26.18% of respective stock's turnover.
TENCENT (00700) and HKEX (00388) registered HK$202.27 million and HK$131.08 million of
short sales, accounting for 5% and 3.24% of the total short sales values respectively. The
transactions represented 17.27% and 25.03% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed down HK$0.04, or 0.22%, to HK$18.03. MEITUAN-W ended up HK$2.4, or
1.95%, to HK$125.4. TENCENT rose HK$0.4, or 0.11% to HK$375.2. HKEX declined by HK$4, or
1.79%, to HK$220.
