billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$17.91 billion, or 19.09% of the market's
turnover. There were 654 short-selling stocks. JD-SW (09618) and KUAISHOU-W (01024) saw
higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$2.38 billion and HK$1.39 billion, or 13.28%
and 7.77% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented 34.38%
and 36.8% of respective stock's turnover.
TENCENT (00700) and BABA-SW (09988) registered HK$1.06 billion and HK$998.09 million of
short sales, accounting for 5.94% and 5.57% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 24.61% and 24.44% of respective stock's turnover.
JD-SW closed down HK$9.8, or 8.73%, to HK$102.4. KUAISHOU-W ended down HK$4.4, or 9.91%,
to HK$40. TENCENT rose HK$1.2, or 0.32% to HK$371.6. BABA-SW declined by HK$0.45, or
0.56%, to HK$79.95.
