billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$14.23 billion, or 20.23% of the market's
turnover. There were 655 short-selling stocks. HSCEI ETF (02828) and CSOP HS TECH (03033)
saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$2.85 billion and HK$748.2 million, or
20% and 5.26% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented
51.9% and 50.64% of respective stock's turnover.
TENCENT (00700) and BABA-SW (09988) registered HK$619.23 million and HK$618.52 million
of short sales, accounting for 4.35% and 4.35% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 16.21% and 21.77% of respective stock's
turnover.
HSCEI ETF closed up HK$0.08, or 0.13%, to HK$61.9. CSOP HS TECH ended down HK$0.012, or
0.35%, to HK$3.374. TENCENT rose HK$5, or 1.35% to HK$375. BABA-SW jumped HK$0.6, or
0.77%, to HK$78.45.
