billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$9.35 billion, or 13.63% of the market's
turnover. There were 637 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and TENCENT (00700)
saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$1.19 billion and HK$634.85 million, or
12.77% and 6.79% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented
26.89% and 11.31% of respective stock's turnover.
CCB (00939) and PING AN (02318) registered HK$327.84 million and HK$319.44 million of
short sales, accounting for 3.51% and 3.42% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 14.95% and 28.01% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed up HK$0.1, or 0.55%, to HK$18.22. TENCENT ended down HK$3.6, or
0.97%, to HK$368.8. CCB rose HK$0.11, or 1.91% to HK$5.88. PING AN jumped HK$1.05, or
2.97%, to HK$36.45.
