[ET Net News Agency, 27 June 2024] Full-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$104.22
billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$17.45 billion, or 16.75% of the market's
turnover. There were 663 short-selling stocks. HSCEI ETF (02828) and TRACKER FUND (02800)
saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$1.71 billion and HK$1.19 billion, or
9.79% and 6.79% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented
53.78% and 32.81% of respective stock's turnover.
XL2CSOPHSTECH (07226) and AIA (01299) registered HK$640.63 million and HK$579.21 million
of short sales, accounting for 3.67% and 3.32% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 61.59% and 23.42% of respective stock's
turnover.
HSCEI ETF closed down HK$1.45, or 2.21%, to HK$64.2. TRACKER FUND ended down HK$0.34, or
1.84%, to HK$18.13. XL2CSOPHSTECH fell HK$0.184, or 5.57% to HK$3.122. AIA declined by
HK$1.2, or 2.2%, to HK$53.25.
