[ET Net News Agency, 27 June 2024] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$52.79
billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$8.07 billion, or 15.28% of the market's
turnover. There were 618 short-selling stocks. HSCEI ETF (02828) and TRACKER FUND (02800)
saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$859.86 million and HK$455.6 million, or
10.66% and 5.65% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented
44.34% and 19.55% of respective stock's turnover.
XL2CSOPHSTECH (07226) and XIAOMI-W (01810) registered HK$445.23 million and HK$307.76
million of short sales, accounting for 5.52% and 3.81% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 76.47% and 12.76% of respective stock's
turnover.
HSCEI ETF closed down HK$1.47, or 2.24%, to HK$64.18. TRACKER FUND ended down HK$0.35,
or 1.89%, to HK$18.12. XL2CSOPHSTECH fell HK$0.154, or 4.66% to HK$3.152. XIAOMI-W
declined by HK$1.36, or 7.63%, to HK$16.46.
