billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$22.97 billion, or 14.68% of the market's
turnover. There were 667 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and HSCEI ETF (02828)
saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$4.8 billion and HK$2.09 billion, or
20.87% and 9.09% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented
44.35% and 46.89% of respective stock's turnover.
TENCENT (00700) and PING AN (02318) registered HK$1.12 billion and HK$951.8 million of
short sales, accounting for 4.85% and 4.14% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 12.63% and 26.94% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed up HK$0.09, or 0.46%, to HK$19.81. HSCEI ETF ended up HK$0.36, or
0.51%, to HK$70.66. TENCENT 0flat to HK$395. PING AN declined by HK$0.5, or 1.1%, to
HK$44.95.
