billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$13.47 billion, or 21.36% of the market's
turnover. There were 653 short-selling stocks. CSOP HS TECH (03033) and TENCENT (00700)
saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$1.08 billion and HK$957.04 million, or
7.99% and 7.1% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented
77.09% and 29.58% of respective stock's turnover.
MEITUAN-W (03690) and HSCEI ETF (02828) registered HK$728.76 million and HK$712.79
million of short sales, accounting for 5.41% and 5.29% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 28.82% and 24.01% of respective stock's
turnover.
CSOP HS TECH closed down HK$0.09, or 2.73%, to HK$3.206. TENCENT ended down HK$1.8, or
0.59%, to HK$302.6. MEITUAN-W fell HK$3.55, or 3.63% to HK$94.2. HSCEI ETF declined by
HK$0.72, or 1.23%, to HK$58.
