billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$15.25 billion, or 14.27% of the market's
turnover. There were 648 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and TENCENT (00700)
saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$1.71 billion and HK$1.21 billion, or
11.19% and 7.91% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented
53.77% and 17.55% of respective stock's turnover.
HSCEI ETF (02828) and CSOP HS TECH (03033) registered HK$836.81 million and HK$497.51
million of short sales, accounting for 5.49% and 3.26% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 32.5% and 28.82% of respective stock's
turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed up HK$0.34, or 1.75%, to HK$19.8. TENCENT ended up HK$3.6, or 1.05%,
to HK$347.2. HSCEI ETF rose HK$0.86, or 1.3% to HK$67.06. CSOP HS TECH jumped HK$0.05,
or 1.39%, to HK$3.94.
