HK$67.96 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$9.22 billion, or 13.57% of the
market's turnover. There were 711 short-selling stocks. TENCENT (00700) and BABA-SW
(09988) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$1.27 billion and HK$732.81
million, or 13.82% and 7.95% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 23.88% and 34.11% of respective stock's turnover.
MEITUAN-W (03690) and KUAISHOU-W (01024) registered HK$561.4 million and HK$320.7
million of short sales, accounting for 6.09% and 3.48% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 17.27% and 26.99% of respective stock's
turnover.
TENCENT closed down HK$15.8, or 3.15%, to HK$486.2. BABA-SW ended down HK$5.2, or 3.07%,
to HK$164.3. MEITUAN-W fell HK$11.6, or 4.1% to HK$271.4. KUAISHOU-W declined by HK$3.7,
or 3.42%, to HK$104.5.
