According to news reports, after Apple raised prices for its new high-end iPhones, demand has been weaker than expected. Japanese media reported that Apple has requested some suppliers to reduce production of iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max components, cutting component orders in October by at least 15% compared to originally planned quantities.
An executive-level source revealed that component orders for the two models have decreased by 15% to 20% this month. Since suppliers have different production lead times, some companies' output in October will be affected, and whether further adjustments will occur starting in November remains unclear. (jq)
