lower than its ADR close. It recorded a turnover of 73.39 million shares of HK$2.28b. It
hits an intra-day low of HK$27.45, and an intra-day high of HK$32.25. It triggered the
Volatility Control Mechanism (VCM) at 2:07p.m., putting it on a 5-minute cooling-off
period, with trading price range limiting between HK$27.45 and HK$33.55. The cooling-off
period ends at 2:12p.m.
WUXI BIO is a constituent of the Hang Seng Composite LargeCap Index. When its share
price fluctuates more than 10% compared to the last trading price five minutes ago, the
VCM is triggered. VCM offers a cooling-off period of 5 minutes for the market and limits
the trading price range. It then resumes normal trading. VCM is only applicable to the
continuous trading session (CTS), excluding the first 15 minutes of the morning and
afternoon trading session, and the last 15 minutes of the afternoon trading session.
The Hang Seng Index now fell 199 points, or 1.2% to 16,012. (ed)
