　　在正式的英語表現裡，疑問基本句型可分為下列四種：

 

I. May I ……

II. Could you ……

III. Would you ……

IV. Shall I ……

 

May I …… （請問……）

 

 

• May I have your name, please?

請問你貴姓大名？

• May I have your reservation number (預訂編號), please?

請問可否給我你的預訂編號？

• May I see your passport, please?

請問可否讓我看一下你的護照？

• May I know your nationality, please?

請問你的國籍是什麼？

• May I have your check-out time, please?

請問你甚麼時候結帳離開？

 

Could you ……， please? （請你/麻煩你……）

 

 

• Could you sign your name here, please?

麻煩你在這裡簽名。

• Could you fill out the form, please?

麻煩你填寫這張表格。

• Could you write that down, please?

請你寫下來好嗎？

• Could you hold the line, please?

請不要掛電話好嗎？

Shall I…… （請問……嗎？）

• Shall I make the reservation for you?

請問要我為你安排預約嗎？

• Shall I draw the curtains?

請問需要我把窗簾拉上嗎？

• Shall I draw you a map?

請問要我為你畫一張地圖嗎？

** 只要在疑問詞後加“Would you ……”，就可以提出大部分的詢問：

請問你會如何處理賬單？

請問你打算逗留多久？

• When would you like to have lunch?
