[ET Net News Agency, 8 June 2023] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$44.06
billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$7.53 billion, or 17.09% of the market's
turnover. There were 612 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and HSCEI ETF (02828)
saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$1.34 billion and HK$1.25 billion, or
17.81% and 16.6% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented
54.16% and 56.55% of respective stock's turnover.
CSOP HS TECH (03033) and TENCENT (00700) registered HK$737.32 million and HK$309.12
million of short sales, accounting for 9.79% and 4.11% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 76.21% and 13.36% of respective stock's
turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed down HK$0.06, or 0.31%, to HK$19.43. HSCEI ETF ended down HK$0.36,
or 0.54%, to HK$65.84. CSOP HS TECH fell HK$0.06, or 1.45% to HK$3.8. TENCENT declined
by HK$5, or 1.49%, to HK$330.6.
