在各種的職場會議當中，當談到預算與籌劃等專案，需要處理圖表上數字和情勢走向時，我們經常需要口述不同的圖表以展示各種數據以及其發展趨勢，例如：「公司業績」、「產品銷售量」等。
以為識 ‘increase’ 和 ‘decrease’兩個單詞，就可以走天涯？少年你太天真了！用 ‘increase’ 和 ‘decrease’ 雖然可以概括的說明數據和趨勢，但是並未能描述具體的升跌的情況，再者，只會一味用死一種方式表達同一概念，只會讓聽眾覺得你的演講枯燥乏味，欠缺生氣。想讓你的演講更生動，就必須學會利用更多具體和精準的措辭喇！
要表達「上升」或「下降」的概念，除了用increase和decrease之外，其實還有不少其他實用的單詞、片詞可以選擇。這次，筆者整理出一系列超實用描述方式，教大家如何順利用英文輕鬆和外國人聊預算！以下是25句表達「上升」或「下降」等趨勢的例句：
Part 1：上升現象／趨勢
1. Our Singapore sales *edged up微升 last year.
我們在新加坡的銷售在去年微升。
2. There was *a rise增加 in foreign investment of $20 million.
外國投資增加了2,000萬元。
3. The number of foreign customers *has grown增加 20%.
外地顧客的數量增加了20％。
