[ET Net News Agency, 5 February 2021] Daiwa Research lifted its target price for Sunny
Optical Technology (02382) to HK$256 from HK$175 and reaffirmed its "buy" rating.
The research house said recent research reaffirmed its positive stance. Daiwa expects
Sunny to resume 35-39% earnings growth over 2021-22 on favorable trends and the kick-in
of Apple orders.
Daiwa forecasted Sunny to ship 10m and 60m lens to Apple over 2021-22 and sees upsides
if progress is faster in iPhones. Its recent research suggests brands will go for more
aggressive upgrades for upcoming models in 2H 2021, supporting its positive thesis for
Sunny. It raised its 2020-22 EPS forecasts by 3-6% on its new client win and our more
optimistic revenue outlook. (KL)
