[ET Net News Agency, 10 November 2020] Goldman Sachs raised its target price for Link
REIT (00823) by 1% to HK$80 and maintained its "buy" rating.
The research house thinks the summer period had been a challenging one for most retail
landlords including Link, but Goldman believes the sequential developments into October
look directionally positive to operations going forward.
While the incremental city re-opening could obe a positive catalyst, a quick rebound in
tourist retail may not be imminent. For the HK retail property segment, Goldman's analysis
shows that a "new normal" of tenant sales could be 31%/11% lower for prime/local malls.
Goldman revised up its FY2021/22/23 EPS forecasts by up to 2% on this set of results. It
modeled a 7% DPU decline in March-FY2021 (versus 8% decline previously). (KL)
