HK$157.75 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$22.76 billion, or 14.43% of the
market's turnover. There were 673 short-selling stocks. HSCEI ETF (02828) and TRACKER FUND
(02800) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$2.84 billion and HK$2.39
billion, or 12.47% and 10.49% of the total short sales value respectively. The
transactions represented 59.62% and 25.93% of respective stock's turnover.
TENCENT (00700) and CSOP HS TECH (03033) registered HK$1.42 billion and HK$1.25 billion
of short sales, accounting for 6.22% and 5.5% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 14.5% and 40.97% of respective stock's
turnover.
HSCEI ETF closed up HK$1.08, or 1.46%, to HK$74.94. TRACKER FUND ended up HK$0.22, or
1.08%, to HK$20.54. TENCENT rose HK$5.8, or 1.42% to HK$415.6. CSOP HS TECH jumped
HK$0.086, or 1.94%, to HK$4.516.
