HK$206.53 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$33.2 billion, or 16.07% of the
market's turnover. There were 681 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and HSCEI ETF
(02828) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$8.39 billion and HK$4.81
billion, or 25.26% and 14.49% of the total short sales value respectively. The
transactions represented 41.18% and 70.94% of respective stock's turnover.
TENCENT (00700) and MEITUAN-W (03690) registered HK$1.15 billion and HK$915.62 million
of short sales, accounting for 3.48% and 2.76% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 12.43% and 9.4% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed up HK$0.52, or 2.59%, to HK$20.56. HSCEI ETF ended up HK$2, or
2.75%, to HK$74.84. TENCENT rose HK$6.2, or 1.5% to HK$418.8. MEITUAN-W jumped HK$9.3, or
5.73%, to HK$171.7.
