[ET Net News Agency, 27 November 2024] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was
HK$60.97 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$9.44 billion, or 15.48% of the
market's turnover. There were 637 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and HSCEI ETF
(02828) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$1.98 billion and HK$572.47
million, or 21% and 6.07% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 39.07% and 16.43% of respective stock's turnover.
MEITUAN-W (03690) and XIAOMI-W (01810) registered HK$428.28 million and HK$406.05
million of short sales, accounting for 4.54% and 4.3% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 24.38% and 23.94% of respective stock's
turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed up HK$0.11, or 0.57%, to HK$19.38. HSCEI ETF ended up HK$0.6, or
0.86%, to HK$70.1. MEITUAN-W rose HK$4, or 2.43% to HK$168.3. XIAOMI-W jumped HK$0.2, or
0.74%, to HK$27.4.
