billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$8.27 billion, or 15.17% of the market's
turnover. There were 607 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and TENCENT (00700)
saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$1.85 billion and HK$569.42 million, or
22.4% and 6.89% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented
56.56% and 17.34% of respective stock's turnover.
BABA-SW (09988) and MEITUAN-W (03690) registered HK$379.48 million and HK$252.32 million
of short sales, accounting for 4.59% and 3.05% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 14.14% and 13.35% of respective stock's
turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed up HK$0.31, or 1.75%, to HK$18. TENCENT ended up HK$4.2, or 1.14%,
to HK$372.6. BABA-SW rose HK$3.1, or 4.06% to HK$79.5. MEITUAN-W jumped HK$4.1, or 4%, to
HK$106.5.
