HK$76.69 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$9.97 billion, or 13% of the market's
turnover. There were 714 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and BABA-SW (09988)
saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$1.08 billion and HK$901.81 million, or
10.83% and 9.05% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented
37.18% and 31% of respective stock's turnover.
TENCENT (00700) and MEITUAN-W (03690) registered HK$733.37 million and HK$684.45 million
of short sales, accounting for 7.36% and 6.86% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 19.84% and 13.78% of respective stock's
turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed down HK$0.08, or 0.3%, to HK$26.74. BABA-SW ended down HK$1.8, or
1.02%, to HK$174. TENCENT fell HK$0.5, or 0.1% to HK$509. MEITUAN-W declined by HK$3.8,
or 1.29%, to HK$290.
