HK$66.45 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$8.4 billion, or 12.65% of the
market's turnover. There were 681 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and MEITUAN-W
(03690) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$795.66 million and HK$695.4
million, or 9.47% and 8.28% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 44.52% and 22.5% of respective stock's turnover.
BABA-SW (09988) and TENCENT (00700) registered HK$548.19 million and HK$475.06 million
of short sales, accounting for 6.52% and 5.65% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 34.28% and 12.5% of respective stock's
turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed up HK$0.28, or 1.07%, to HK$26.38. MEITUAN-W ended up HK$5.8, or
2.07%, to HK$286.2. BABA-SW rose HK$2.1, or 1.29% to HK$165. TENCENT declined by HK$2.8,
or 0.56%, to HK$494.2.
