[ET Net News Agency, 17 September 2021] Full-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was
HK$193.83 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$32.26 billion, or 16.64% of the
market's turnover. There were 765 short-selling stocks. KUAISHOU-W (01024) and BEIGENE
(06160) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$2.49 billion and HK$1.37
billion, or 7.71% and 4.24% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 26.47% and 20.78% of respective stock's turnover.
JD HEALTH (06618) and BIDU-SW (09888) registered HK$1.21 billion and HK$1.05 billion of
short sales, accounting for 3.75% and 3.25% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 35.7% and 30.13% of respective stock's turnover.
KUAISHOU-W closed up HK$5.9, or 6.22%, to HK$100.8. BEIGENE ended up HK$47, or 20.29%,
to HK$278.6. JD HEALTH rose HK$6.95, or 9.52% to HK$79.95. BIDU-SW jumped HK$3.7, or
2.38%, to HK$159.1.
