Goldman Sachs upped its target price for Standard Chartered (STAN)(02888) to HK$80 from HK$78 and maintained its "buy" rating.
The research house increased its EPS forecasts for STAN by 2%-4% for 2020-23 (-2% for 2019), reflecting recent industry trends and slightly higher revenues only partially offset by a modest pick up in loan losses.
Goldman said STAN faces only the headwind of lower rates and the bank is less exposed to UK-specific risks.
