Chow Tai Fook (01929) net down 37% to HK$2.9bn; div HK$0.12

[ET Net News Agency, 11 June 2020] Chow Tai Fook Jewellery Group Limited (01929) said
its profit attributable to shareholders of the company fell for the year ended 31 March
fell 36.6% to HK$2,901 million. Earnings per share also fell 36.6% to HK$0.29.
Its revenue decreased by 14.9% to HK$56,751 million, mainly attributable to the COVID-19
epidemic in 4QFY2020, a surge in the international gold price that dampened the retail
demand for gold products, and a weak performance in Hong Kong.
The board proposed a final dividend of HK12.0 cents for the year ended 31 March 2020. It
is expected that the proposed final dividend will be paid on 21 August 2020. (KL)
